Submission Categories

Submissions may fall into one of the following two categories:

• Open communication: For communications without thematic constraints.
• Contribution to thematic sessions: For communications related to the topics defined in collaboration with the SFM and local partners.

Thematic Sessions

The program offers an exploration of the many facets of contemporary musicology through six thematic areas. Each session highlights a specific issue. Discover the proposed sessions:

• Risset & beyond
• Music and cinema
• Music, teaching, pedagogy, and didactics
• Song and modern popular music
• Anthropology and ethnomusicology
• The 3 Bs (Boulez, Berio, Boucourechliev)

Submission Guidelines

Proposals must be written in French or English and submitted in one of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .odt. Each submission must include:

• A title and a summary of the proposal (300 words).
• The author’s name, email address, and a short biography mentioning the institution of affiliation, if applicable (100 words).
